NWU Commemorates "Historic 7th March" Day 2024

North Western University (NWU) organized an event to commemorate the historic 7th March speech delivered by the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The event was held on March 7, 2024, in the seminar room of the university's administrative building and began with a recitation from the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible.

Vice Chancellor of the University, Dr. Sheikh Md. Enayetul Babar, was the chief guest of the program, while Treasurer of NWU, Kanai Lal Sarkar, graced the occasion as a special guest. Professor Dr. Md. Nawsher Ali Moral, Dean, Faculty of Science and Technology, was also present as one of the discussants. Professor Md. Tabibar Rahman delivered the welcome address. The event was presided over by NWU Faculty member Inzamam-Ul-Hossain, Convenor, March 7 Celebration Committee.

The chief guest, Dr. Sheikh Md. Enayetul Babar, highlighted the pivotal role of the March 7 speech in Bangabandhu's political legacy. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the mastermind behind Bangladesh's liberation, managed to rally the entire Bengali population with his impassioned address. Each sentence of the speech carried a profound message that motivated the Bengali people to fight for their independence.
