NWU observed Martyred Intellectual Day 2022

North Western University (NWU) observed the Martyred Intellectuals Day to commemorate those intellectuals who were assassinated deliberately by the Pakistan occupation forces and their local collaborators at the fag-end of the countrys Liberation War in 1971. To mark the day, a discussion meeting was held on 14 December 2022 at 09.30 am. Honorable Vice-Chairman of NWU, S. M. Kamal Hossain was the Chief Guest while Honorable Vice-Chancellor of NWU, Prof. Dr. Bazlar Rahman was presided over the event.

Apart from this, the member of the Board of Trustees of the University, Pabitra Kumar Sarkar and Syed Mohammad Obaidullah; Dean of Science and Technology Faculty, Prof. Dr. Md. Nawsher Ali Moral; Dean of Business Studies Faculty, Dr. Md. Rouf Biswas; Registrar, Muhammad Shariful Islam; Heads of the Departments; Controller of Examinations, Prof. Dr. Naseem Ahamed; Proctor, Md. Inzamam-Ul-Hossain, Assistant Proctors, Teachers, Students, Officers and Staffs took part in the discussion meeting.

On 14 December After Sunrise, Hoisting of National Flag at half-mast and Hoisting Black Flag at the NWU Building (1&2). At 8:30 a.m., wearing black badges. At 9:00 a.m., laying a floral wreath at Gallamari Monument. At 9:30 a.m., a discussion on the day. After the discussion meeting, a dua-mahfil was held at NWU Building 1 (Rooms 201 and 202) to pray for the departed souls of the nation's bravest and intellectual sons.
