Pitha Utshob 2023 at NWU Campus

�Pitha Utshob� is a traditional event of our Bangladeshi culture in winter; we North Western University (NWU) organize this event to keep this tradition alive and convey the glory of it to the next generation. NWU has organized this event on 26 February, 2023 in the IEB Khulna Centre beside NWU Building 1. To inaugurate this event Professor Dr. Bazlar Rahman, the Vice Chancellor of North Western University came along with Dean of Faculties, Proctor and Head of Departments. This event allows the student to interact with each other and to experience Bengali culture. Several student of the all department brought in varieties homemade pithas. Around 24 types of delicious pithas were sold including dhudhpuli, shemaipitha, mangsherpitha, chitoipitha, chocolate cake, custard cake, jhalpitha, shahitukra etc. Moreover, every student of the all department was dressed in traditional clothes; ladies were in jamdani saree while men were in punjabis. The ambient was completed with playing of popular Bangla songs at the venue.
