NWU observed Martyred Intellectual Day 2023

North Western University (NWU) observed the Martyred Intellectuals Day to commemorate those intellectuals who were assassinated deliberately by the Pakistan occupation forces and their local collaborators at the fag-end of the countrys Liberation War in 1971. To mark the day, a discussion meeting was held on 14 December 2023 at 09.30 am. Honorable Vice-Chancellor of NWU, Prof. Dr. Md. Nawsher Ali Moral was the Chief Guest and Honorable Treasurer of NWU, Prof. Kanai Lal Sarkar was the Special Guest while Dean of Business Studies Faculty, Dr. Md. Rouf Biswas was presided over the event.

Apart from this, Registrar, Prof. Md. Tabibar Rahman; Heads of the Departments; Director, S M Reazur Rashid, Controller of Examinations, Prof. Dr. Naseem Ahamed; Proctor, Md. Inzamam-Ul-Hossain, Assistant Proctors, Teachers, Students, Officers and Staffs took part in the discussion meeting.

On 14 December After Sunrise, Hoisting of National Flag at half-mast and Hoisting Black Flag at the NWU Building (1&2). At 8:30 a.m., wearing black badges. At 9:00 a.m., laying a floral wreath at Gallamari Monument. At 9:30 a.m., a discussion on the day. After the discussion meeting, a dua-mahfil was held at NWU Building 1 (Rooms 201 and 202) to pray for the departed souls of the nation's bravest and intellectual sons.
